We had many successes throughout 2016 and I have listed a sample of the wonderful events, opportunities and improvements that EMPOWER us to provide better teaching and learning opportunities for your children.
· Religious Education Program Validated
· Staff Participation in Spiritual Formation Program – Catching Fire
· Primary Learning Leader Role (Curriculum Leader) - Shirley James-Sharry employed
· Literacy Professional Development for staff – Two twilights led by Tessa Hobbs
· Maths Professional Development for staff - Two twilights led by Jan Cavanagh QUT
· Review and Response of Student Learning – Data Analysis to drive teaching and learning
· Flarana Fair –raised $22000 for Parish and School
· Active Travel Program implemented
· Facebook Page created
· Wakakirri 2016 – Finalists
· Senior Primary Camp Mudjimba
· St Vincent de Paul Senior Primary Sleep Out
· Zone 6 Interschool Sport competition
· Building Program – New Administration, Learning Support, Tuckshop, Uniform Shop
· Asbestos Removal – Toilets, Yr 3/4 classrooms, Library, Old Tuckshop
· Coaching Program (Peer Obs and Feedback) implemented allowing teachers to develop their teaching skills
· Speech Therapist and Occupational Therapist employed to provide intervention at school
· Science Week Celebration - Mad Scientist Day
· Fun Run raised $4500
· St Vincent de Paul Christmas appeal
· Sports Carnivals - Swimming, Cross Country, Athletics
· Arts Festival / Poetry Competition
· P&F Committee Events provided – Discos, Movie Night
